Recruitment Process: Cypress continuously tries to find the right person for the right job.
To accomplish this task, we use a wide array of resources such as media advertising, postings with government
agencies, job fairs as well as employee and client referrals.
Hiring Process: The criteria for hiring decisions begin with our comprehensive hiring process;
including applicant assessment, structured interviews, background verifications and drug screenings. This process
ensures that we always hire the most suitable candidates.

Qualifications
To be eligible to work at Cypress, you must respond positively to the following questions;
- Are you at least 18 years of age?
- Do you have a reliable means of communication (i.e., can Cypress contact you)?
- Do you have a reliable means of transportation (e.g., a car or easy access to public transportation)?
- Do you have the legal right to work in the United States?
- Do your have the ability to affectively speak, read and write English?
- Do you have a High School diploma GED?
- Are you willing to participate in Cypress' pre-employment hiring process, including background verification and drug screening?
- Do you have a California Guard Card or do you have the ability to obtain such a card?
Career Paths
Cypress will always try to promote people from within its organization - a task facilitated by
our Personal Development Programs (see below). Employees usually enter the organizations as Security Officers and may

Growth and promotion from within are at the core of monitoring quality and is
facilitated by education and specialized training; ensuring our clients and the public the best safety and security available.
Our personnel development department has created custom training programs for all levels
of employment. Each training program satisfies all state requirements and includes a
certificate of completion for employee advancement.
Recognition Programs
Cypress appreciates out employees' contributions to providing superior service to out clients. We have a number of
recognition awards to help show out appreciation. These include but are not limited to;
- Certificate of Training - for completion of Cypress' training and development programs
- Officer of the Month - cash award and plaque for outstanding performance
- Officer of the Year - cash award and plaque for outstanding performance
- Field Supervisor of the Year - cash award and plaque for outstanding performance
Referral Programs
Good people are hard to find. This is why Cypress has chosen to create an referral program in which successful
referrals may receive a cash reward. Cypress employees are encouraged to refer both potential applicants and/or
clients. If Cypress subsequently signs a contract with that applicant and/or client, the employee may be eligible
to receive the following;
- Applicant Referral: $100 after 180 days if referral still employed
- Client Referral: $500 following signed contract with referral.
